Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, also known as ClassNK with it's Head Office located in the City of Tokyo, Japan.
Celebrated its 110th anniversary last November (2009). Since it's foundation, ClassNK became one of the
major classification societies. ClassNK offers a wide range of services to improve the safety at sea
and prevent pollution of the marine environment. These services include ship classification surveys,
statutory surveys and certification on behalf of governments based on both international conventions,
codes, national laws as well as ClassNK's own rules and regulations.
